🧼 The Golden Rules of Washing

1. Zip It Up & Inside Out

Before throwing your jersey into the machine, close all zippers (to prevent them from snagging other fabrics) and turn the garment inside out. This protects the vibrant prints and the outer fabric surface.

2. Use a Wash Bag

Cycling apparel is delicate. We highly recommend using a mesh laundry bag. This prevents your bib straps from getting tangled or stretched by other heavy items in the wash.

3. Gentle Cycle, Cool Water

Wash on a gentle cycle at a temperature no higher than 30°C (86°F). High heat breaks down the elastane fibers (Spandex) that give your kit its compressive fit.

⚠️ Crucial Warning: No Fabric Softener

Never use fabric softeners or liquid detergents containing softeners. These chemicals coat the fibers with a waxy film, which clogs the pores of the technical fabric. This destroys the moisture-wicking ability, leaving you sweaty and cold on your ride.

🩳 Special Care for Bib Shorts

  • Don't let it soak: Wash your bibs as soon as possible after a ride. Sweat is acidic and can damage the chamois (pad) bacteria protection over time.
  • Hang Dry Only: Never put bib shorts in the dryer. The heat will dry out the foam in the chamois and melt the elastic grippers. Hang them in a shaded area away from direct sunlight.
  • Watch the Velcro: If you wash your kit with gloves, make sure the Velcro on the gloves is closed, or it will tear the delicate Lycra of your shorts.
